Shanghai, Nov. 30, 2023 – In a meaningful event on November 30, NETA Auto achieved a significant milestone with the inauguration of its first overseas factory in Thailand.

The ceremony, attended by Zhang Yong, co-founder and CEO of NETA Auto, and Wanchai Jungsanguanphonsuk, CEO of Bangchan General Assembly Co., Ltd., marked a pivotal moment for the company, symbolising its global development reaching unprecedented heights.

Penetrating the ASEAN Market: A Complete Industry Chain

Zhang Yong highlighted the significance of the Thai factory, stating that NETA has seamlessly integrated into the new energy vehicle industry chain in Thailand and the entire ASEAN region.

NETA's commitment extends beyond manufacturing, encompassing research and development, sales, and after-sales service. The Thai factory, a critical link in this chain, aims to be a model for internationalising intelligent new energy vehicle factories.

Cutting-Edge Automation in NETA Thailand Factory

The NETA Thailand Factory, a collaborative effort with BGAC, sets new standards in automation. Embracing lean production and intelligent manufacturing, the facility enhances resource efficiency, quality, and overall efficiency.

Set to achieve an annual production capacity of 20,000 vehicles after large-scale production commences in the first quarter of 2024, it will serve as a key hub for manufacturing NETA's electric vehicles, explicitly targeting the right-hand drive models for the Thai and broader markets.

Global Models Unveiled: NETA GT and NETA X

At the 40th Thailand International Motor Expo on November 29, NETA Auto unveiled its global models, NETA GT and NETA X. The NETA GT, with its authentic sports car design, offers exceptional performance, accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.

On the other hand, NETA X boasts numerous advantages, including a spacious cabin and intelligent driving capabilities, positioning it as a leader in its class. With plans for seven overseas products, including sedans, SUVs, and station wagon models, NETA Auto is developing left-hand and right-hand drive models for sale in over 60 overseas markets.

NETA's Success in the Thai Market

Since entering the Thai market in 2022, NETA has already surpassed 12,000 units in sales as of mid-November 2023. In the first ten months of the year, a single NETA model secured nearly 20% market share in the Thai pure electric car market, earning significant favour among Thai consumers.

The success in Thailand, serving as the inaugural international market, has paved the way for NETA to establish a robust presence in the ASEAN region and embark on the global stage.

NETA's Global Expansion Strategy

NETA Auto has consistently adhered to a global development strategy, entering markets in the ASEAN region, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. This approach has garnered recognition from nearly 400,000 users worldwide. In 2024, NETA Auto aims to expand its global sales network to 50 countries and establish 500 overseas sales service outlets.

The newly inaugurated factory in Thailand and the impressive product lineup showcased at the Thailand International Motor Expo will provide strong support for the company's global growth.
